I love working with the beautiful, cleansing energies of selenite. Personally, I own a selenite wand—in fact, I own a few! Originally, I bought a batch of them to sell, but I loved them so much that I ended up keeping them all (ha-ha!). Is anyone else like this when it comes to crystals?

Since then, I’ve held workshops and training courses that included selenite wands, so most of that original batch has been rehomed. But I definitely still have a few tucked away just for myself!

I use my wand to swipe through my aura (the invisible energy field that surrounds the physical body), setting the intention that any energy that isn't mine, or any heavy, lower vibrations, are completely cleansed away. When I do this, I visualize my wand as pure white light, almost like I'm holding a stick of pure radiance... kind of like a spiritual lightsaber!

During a meditation with selenite, my spirit guides told me that we should be cleansing our auras daily, just like we comb our hair. They also mentioned that if we sit back-to-back with a tree while cleansing with our selenite, it’s much more effective. I wasn't entirely sure why at first, but it makes sense—grounding yourself naturally helps clear your energy field, so combining it with selenite creates a total double-whammy of energy clearing.

I remember hosting a workshop where around seven ladies attended. One lady turned up with a severe headache and was worried she might have to go home early. I had gifted all the attendees a selenite wand that day. Another lady in the group, who is quite psychic, got a sudden intuitive feeling that she needed to cleanse around the hurting lady's head. As she swept the wand through her energy field—never actually touching her physically—the lady with the headache slowly tilted her head back naturally. Just like that, the headache completely lifted, and she was able to stay for the whole day! It totally wowed me, and trust me, I've had quite a few "wow" moments with crystals.

This is exactly why I love the concept of sitting with your crystals and getting a feel for them before looking up their meanings in a book! I’ll definitely do a future post on how to truly connect with your crystals.

I had another amazing experience with a Reiki client. During her treatment, I felt strongly drawn to place a selenite plate over her heart chakra. The lady instantly felt what she described as heavy energy leaving her chest. By the end of the treatment, the selenite plate had actually broken into three pieces! It was a very thick piece of stone that wouldn't have broken easily under normal circumstances, but it did its job to absorb and remove that heavy weight for her.

I absolutely LOVE this fact!

Here is a beautiful fact about why selenite is such a master cleanser: it is actually a form of gypsum, which is born from water! It forms as ancient saltwater evaporates, meaning it literally embodies the fluid, purifying, and washing energy of the water element. No wonder it is so incredible at washing away heavy energy and keeping our spirits clear!
